CISF aka Central Industrial Security Force, established in 1969, is a multi-skilled security agency, mandatory in different areas to provide protection to important infrastructure of the country’s major establishments. The biggest industrial security force in the world, this special central paramilitary is one of the forces with its headquarters in New Delhi under the Federal Ministry of Home Affairs of India. CISF provides security cover for nuclear installations, space establishments, airports, ports, power plants, sensitive government buildings and sometimes heritage monuments. The important entrusted to the CISF are establishing Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, VIP Security, Disaster Management in Haiti and a United Nations Formal Police Unit (FPU).
In addition to providing security, security, and security to industrial undertakings / establishments, Central Industrial Security Force also provides protection against fire hazards. One of the CISF’s highly specialized trained and fully equipped fire wing, which looks after the services of 77 units, with a strength of 5000 well-trained labor force about fire protection and fire prevention.
CISF Force is formed in conjunction with the following three branches namely: –
executive branch
Fire service branch
Ministerial branch
Each branch can meet the supervisory officer (other than the Director General) and from time to time, the members of the army are enrolled as the Director General.
The CISF head is located at quarter 13, under the leadership of CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi and Director General. It is further organized under the chairmanship of six sectors, as the General Inspectors:
Eastern Sector: Headquarter in Patna
Northern Region: Headquarters in New Delhi
Western Sector: Headquarter in Mumbai
Southern Region: Headquarters in Chennai
North-Eastern Region: Headquarters in Kolkata
Airport Sector: Headquarter in New Delhi
