I was recently talking to a 19-year-old boy and he is struggling with motivation.
His problem is this way:
He is excited about starting a project or plan, and initially is very motivated … but after a few days, looks that gets demotivated, and he’s starting procrastinating.
He said that in fact the project wants through the plan, but goes away from the motivation.
I told him that it should make some effort to know something because many problems are important to solve.
I suggested experiments experiments in inspiration motivation. Every person is inspired to induce differently.
How does this motivation work? You try one experiment for one week, and pay attention to the result. After a couple of months of doing this, you know more about your personal motivation style before.
Eight Way of Motivation:
Un-ignorable Consequences Set a deadline you want to accomplish, and a result will not be able to ignore you. It has set this deadline and is best to share the result with an accountability partner or publicly.
Example: I am going to write 1000 words every day in my book this week, or I can not watch TV for a week on Facebook. (Only works that you really care about the result.) Another example: If I do not write my first chapter from midnight on Saturday, I donald trump (or whatever candidate you do not like) and post To donate $ 200 is publicly about it. The idea is that the result should be embarrassing and some you just can not ignore.
Completion Compulsion Many people incorporate themselves, have a strong desire to fulfill a list. For example, if you’ve seen 15 episodes of 20 shows, you might really want to finish watching the show. This is “compulsion to be completed,” and I find it some time experiences – especially if the list finishing seems to be achievable. The method is as follows: You want to end each day to complete a list of 10 small tasks (to complete 10 minutes or less) that you want to finish this week on a certain project, or 5 Make small tasks, and make it your goal to finish the list. Now about your “why” in a phrase (eg, “kindness to yourself” or “to help others in pain”), and this post is visible somewhere, then you will not forget it.
Get excited daily It’s easy to be excited about starting a project or goal when you first start, but thinks that dies out. Then upgrade it! Each day, start by setting a goal for the day that you can meet and care about you. Find inspiration, imagine your achievement, find some music that motivates you, to excite you to accomplish your goal for the day to find an inspirational quote or video … to find anything!
Focus on the truth of your word. One of the most important things in life can be trusted, people believe that when you say that you are going to do something, you will do it. Do not believe in people, you will not be with good relationships, love, friends, or work. Imagine hiring someone and knowing if they do not show the show or work they are going to do. So you have the motto, “. Repeat it several times a day, build trust in others in you and build your own faith in yourself. Post the motto somewhere you will not forget it.
Finding a group Humans are social animals, and you can use them for your benefit. Create an accountability group of friends or colleagues who want to achieve a goal or to complete a project. Agree to set daily or weekly goals, and check in daily or weekly with each other (a Facebook group or subreddit, perhaps form). There are embarrassing results for set prizes and / or hitting or missing targets. Weekly “winners” are for those who did the best on their goal. Encourage each other and help each other when there is any inferiority.
Focus on the spirit of achievement. Taste your sense of accomplishment with all the work you put together, ending at the end of it. This is a great feeling! Share your victory with others. Taste the feeling of building trust in yourself. When you have started a job, think about how good you will feel when you complete it.
Small starts, quick rewards Create a system where you have to do less work (just 10 minutes) and you get a small reward at the end of it. For example, I just need to write for 10 minutes, so I get my first coffee on that day. Or I clear my email inbox for 10 minutes, and then I get to check my favorite sites for 5 minutes. Do not work until you have reward yourself! Smaller work is better, so you will not be late to start.
Well, these eight are used, but you can think of others like Seinfeld method or Pomodoro technique. All that matters is that you try to experiment, and the result is note. At the end of each weekly experiment, write a brief review of how it went. If your productivity rate on the scale of 10 then try another experiment.
At the end of these, you will have tried a bunch of great methods, and find out what helps you most. You can combine methods, or use different people at different times. And maybe after all this, you have a belief in yourself that it is so strong, you do not need any way!
