IBPS PO Exam 2019-17 Pattern & Syllabus: IBPS is going to conduct IBPS PO Entrance Exam in October-2019. As we think that every candidates should know the exam pattern of IBPS PO as because of exam pattern has been changed from this year. So we are here with the new IBPS PO Exam Syllabus 2019. IBPS PO Exam Syllabus 2019: As we know Every Year Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts various entrance exams like PO, Clerk, SO, AO etc. to recruit a huge numbers of candidates for various posts. IBPS is going to conduct IBPS PO Pre entrance exam soon from 16th October to 23rd October 2019 and Main Examination on 20th November 2019. Recently IBPS has announced a notice to recruit 21680 Probationary Officers. This is expected that numbers of candidates will apply for IBPS PO this year too.

IBPS PO Pre & Mains Exam Pattern
From this year IBPS has changed Probationary Officer Entrance Exam Pattern completely. Now candidates have to qualify 3 stages to finally get a job of Probationary officer. Let’s have a talk about all these three stages.
Stage-I: – Preliminary Examination: –
Preliminary examination will be conducted to remove non-serious candidates from the competition. The level of questions will not so tough in this 1st stage. This will consists of 3 sections which are mentioned in below drawn table.

Candidates have to qualify each section. They get 1 mark for each right answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. Those candidates who clear this stage will able to go at next stage.
Stage-II: Main Exam: –
Stage 2 will consist of objective type and descriptive type question paper. Objective type question paper will consist of 4 sections of 200 questions. Details are mentioned in below drawn table.

Stage III – Interview and Allotment
> Interview: After the success of examination, those who get shortlisted for CWE PO -III, the particular organization will be called for the interview. There are 100 marks for the interview and candidates need to score more than 40% to qualify the interview.
> Allotment: After the successfully completion of IBPS interview round, depending on the vacancies to be filled in during the financial year based on the business needs. Shortlisted candidates will be provisionally allotted to any one of the organizations and it is done on the basis of merit-cum-preference keeping in view the spirit of Govt.
IBPS 2019 Cutoff Marks:
The candidate need to score minimum marks in each test and marks score to be get shortlisted for interview.It depends on the number of posts available, the cutoffs marks will be decided after the exam and then candidates get shortlisted for the interview.
Negative Marks: There is penalty charged of 1/4 i.e. 0.25 marks will be levied for every wrong answer. So candidates are advised and must ensure about the correct answer while marking.And there are no marks deducted, if any candidates will leave the questions.
Minimum Cut Off Marks: The candidates have score a minimum marks in each of the paper to for the vacancies in participating banks. They need minimum cut off marks are as follow:
- For General category: 24 marks
- For Reserved category: 21 marks
Note: If any candidates will score same marks then merit order will decide as per date of birth (senior candidate will place before over junior candidates).

Banking Awareness: Candidates must have all details and updates about the banking sector in the field of:
Indian Financial System: Overview of Financial Markets (Capital Market, Money Market, Forex Market, Credit Market), Financial Intermediaries involved (like underwriters,investment bankers, stock exchanges, depositories,registrars, custodians, mutual funds, Authorized dealers, portfolio managers, primary dealers, self-regulatory organizations, etc. Also read important committees and its recommendations.
History of Indian Banking Industry: Candidates need to know Types of Banks (Scheduled, Co-operatives), Pre Independence, Post-Independence, Nationalization, Structure of Indian Banking, categorization of Bank (Pvt, PSU, Foreign), SIDBI, EXIM, NHB, NABARD, IDBI its role etc. and concept of NBFC.
Regulatory Bodies like: RBI, (History/ Roles/ Functions) PFRDA, FSDC, SEBI, IRDA, FMC etc. its role functions and fact based details
Monetary & Credit Policies: It decides the basis of change and its relation with Inflation and other related issues & Inflation (Types) Re-Repo/Bank Rate/CRR/ SLR/ Repo etc.
Budget Basicsand Current Union Budget:This is the main topic for the IBPS exam, discussion of Budget, GDP, Government revenue model, Fiscal Deficit, Various kinds of taxes and spending etc. and discussion on Union Budget 2015-16. Candidates must read the Rail Budget and Economic Survey.
International Organizations/ Financial Institutions: The aspirants must know the World Bank, IMF, ADB, UN related agencies, recent development in them members heads etc.
Capital Market & Money Market: Concept, Types of Instruments they deal in like

Candidates will have to pass each and every section to qualify for Stage-III Personal Interview round. After objective type test a descriptive type question paper will appear on screen.
