This is one of the oldest universities in India established in 1882.

My Daughter secured 94.20%in 10+2(non medical) in CBSE and secured 313 rank in PU CET-UG 2015. Upto 3rd counselling she has not allocated any stream. Wehther she has any chance to get admission in Panjab University in BSC(Hons) in Physics. I heard that rak of about 800 got admission last year. Otherwise we can try to another institution. You got 2207 rank but it is difficult get bsc chemistry, because there are 58 open “B.Sc. (Hons. School) Chemistry” seats are available under panjab-university. Any way i suggest you keep try untill the end state, if may be you will get seat in bsc chemistry. All the best……..!

Which subject combination is good with bsc botany in pu gor my susidisry suujects.all are saying that i should take zoology and chemistry as susidiary subjects because other combination like biochemistry can create pronlem in future for jobs . Actually we don’t know madam, might be she is truth.
chances are less in mathematics because majority of engineering counsellings are completed like Jossa etc whereas in case of phy &chem counsellings are still going on and moreover neet result is will be decleared around 24aug so there are many chances that medical students who got good rank will left their seats . i will suggest you try till the end because anything can happen. i am also waiting on that hope. good luck for next counselling .

my rank got changed. there are only 4 late applicants added by university (marked red) before me. then why my rank increased by 55. the merit list published on 17july was final then why they changed it. earlier there were 1900 students in mathematics merit list but now the number increased to 2500.. seats are very limited then why they adding more students .. Is this only way to destroy the whole year of students. by this time everywhere non medical admission are closed . what about those who waited till 28aug and did not applied anywhere ? The university should keep only that much number of students in merit list who can get admission at there campus.
Yes.there is also not percentile system. As its easy to get more marks in biology than maths.and they have made same list for both.

Hi AMAN THAKUR, they will take few factors to select candidates for admission those are previously study background history, present PUCET scored marks percentage and reservation. In your situation you got 86.564 PERCENTILE in PUCET 2018 so there is guarantee admission in PUNJAB UNIVERSITY, but you will get any of best campus for BSC CHEMISTRY OR PHYSICS study. Best of luck….!
