Sidho Kanho Birsha University, Purulia, West Bengal was started the U.G. / P.G. Admissions for 2016-17 online admission application form from 10.00 AM of 16th March 2016. The eligible who are interested to join in Under Graduation / Post Graduation Course under the Sidho Kanho Birsha University, are advised to submit their application form through online mode only on or before last date 31st March 2016 by 4 PM.
There shall be no Entrance test for SKBU UG/PG Admissions 2016. The selections will be made based on previous academic records only.
Important dates with timing:
Online application submission commencement from: 16th March 2016 at 10 AM
Last date to online application submission: 31st March 2016 by 4 PM
Date of Provisional Merit List Publication: 11th April 2016 (Tentatively)
Date of Publication of Merit List: 21st April 2016 (Tentatively)
Test of PWD Candidates: 22nd April 2016 (If any physically handicapped persons have to participate in PWD Test)
Dates & Venue of Counselling: will be notified on 21st April 2016

Sidho Kanho Birsha University started the online application form to invite eligible candidates for various UG / PG Course admissions under the university and their affiliated colleges for the current academic session 2016-17 year.

The eligible and interested candidates can apply through online on or before last date i.e. 31st March 2016

Candidates are must and should submit your e-mail Id and Mobile Number in the registration process because these two are very important, because frequent message etc may be communicated through the same.
Eligibility Criteria for both deputed and fresher Candidate
The applicant must have at least 50% marks, (45% for SC / ST / PWD) in aggregate either in the Bachelor Degree and or in the Master Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Humanities.
Bachelor in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks in aggregate or any other qualification equivalent thereto are eligible for admission.
Percentage of Marks for U.G. courses shall be calculated excluding compulsory papers.
Age limit
Age of Fresher candidate as on 30th June, 2016, would be less than 37 years (relaxation as per Govt. of West Bengal norms).
Registration Fee
Unreserved candidates : Rs 300/-
SC/ST/PWD candidates : Rs 150/-
Payment mode : Candidates has to be deposited either by “online” through debit card/ credit card/ net banking to the IDBI Bank, Purulia Branch, Deshbandhu Road or ‘offline’ through computer generated challan only, payable bank charges, as applicable for net banking/debit/credit cards.
Note : The Registration Fee, once deposited is non-refundable.

- Read the all instructions and click on accept
- Fill the online “REGISTRATION FORM” with accurate
- Candidates are required to re-check all fields which entered by you once again before submitting the online application form
- Make online registration fee payment
The successfully applicants can take print out the online application form receipt, for future requirements.
Selection Procedure :
Merit list will be prepared on the basis of academic records
10% of the percentage of obtained marks in Madhyamik/equivalent examination
10% of percentage of obtained marks in H.S./equivalent examination
20% of percentage of obtained marks in Degree level examination
20% of percentage of obtained marks in Post graduate Degree level
Additional 5 score point for candidate possessing valid M Phil degree
Additional 8 score point for candidate possessing valid Ph D degree (here M Phil will not be counted).
Aggregate of above, calculated for a candidate would constitute the Total Score Point.
Seat Reservation: at 22%, 6% & 3% of total seats will be reserved for SC, ST & PWD candidates respectively.
Counselling
After rectification, if any, the tentative date of publication of merit list along with schedule for counselling is 21st April 2016
Course academic fee structure :
Total course fee annually is Rs. 75000/- including refundable caution money and excluding University Registration fee, Examination fee and hostel charges.
