UPSC CDS I Exam pattern & Syllabus 2018 : UPSC CDS I Exam:Combined Defence Services Exam is conducted by the UPSC two times in a year for admissions to Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Air Force Academy (AFA) and Officers Training Academy (OTA).

CDS Exam Pattern: These CDS exams conducts twice in year because the candidates who qualified from the first round of UPSC exams will be eligible to the second written test of UPSC CDS.

Exam Syllabus : This exam Contains Three Subjects:
- English
- Elementary Mathematics
- General Knowledge
English Syllabus :Questions in English are from Synonyms, Antonyms, Reading Comprehension, Para Jumbles, Error Spotting, Jumbled Sentences, Sentence Correction and Fill in the Blanks.
General Knowledge Syllabus: Current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person who has not made a special study of any scientific subject. The paper also includes questions on History of India and Geography of a nature.
Elementary Mathematics Syllabus :Arithmatic, Algebra, Trigonametry, Geometry Mensuration ,Stastics
