National Eligibility Test 2014 – Notification and Online Application:-
University Grant Commission (UGC), Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) and Agriculture Scientific Research Board (ASRB) conduct National Eligibility Test for Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) every year in June and December.
UGC and CSIR exams are likely to be conducted on 21st December, 2014. The Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) will hold a NET during 22.09.2014 – 28.09.2014 in Online mode at 23 Centres across India.
Every Year large number of candidates appears in the UGC NET examination. But only few of them get succeeded. This year as well UGC, CSIR and ASRB is conducting NET exam in March and June 2014 for ASRB and CSIR & UGC Respectively. Candidates, who want to appear in the National Eligibility Test 2014, can apply here online.
Eligibility Criteria:
For CSIR NET – BS-4 years program/BE/BTech/BPharma/MBBS/Integrated BS-MS/MSc or equivalent degree with at least 55% marks for general and OBC (50% for SC/ST candidates, physically and Visually Handicapped candidates).
For UGC NET- Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/ institutions recognised by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc. are eligible for this Test.
For ASRB NET: A candidate must possess a Master’s degree or equivalent in the concerned Discipline and specialization completed on or before 01.08.2014.
Procedure of Application:-
A candidate seeking admission to the Examination must apply online in the prescribed Application Form available on the website: www.ugc.ac.in/ www.csirhrdg.res.in / www.asrb.org.in.
The candidates who qualify for the award of Junior Research Fellowship are eligible to pursue research in the subject of their post-graduation or in a related subject and are also eligible for Assistant Professor. Candidates qualifying for the award of Junior Research Fellowship will be eligible to receive fellowship of UGC under various schemes, subject to their finding placement in universities/ IITs/institutions.
A candidate may apply either for ‘JRF’ OR for ‘Lectureship (LS) only’ He/she may indicate his/her preference in the Online Application, as the case may be. CSIR may consider candidates for ‘JRF’, or ‘Lectureship only” depending on number of fellowships available & performance in the test subject to the condition that they fulfill the laid down eligibility criterion.
