The Indian Economic / Statistics Service provides a very attractive opening to graduate in Economic and Statistics. ISS and IES Central Government services, which are involved in economic planning and analysis through state boards, are planning the commission and other government-owned bodies in the country. IES, as an inter-ministerial and inter departmental service, its cadre posts / central government departments, around 55 numbers are spread across various ministries.
Selection for this service is done through the examination conducted by the Indian Economic / Statistical Service Association Public Service Commission. Indian Economic / Statistical Service Examination is usually held in the month of November.
The role of IES can be broadly classified in the case of implementation of economic advice, economic administration, development programs, in addition to working with other sectors such as economic reforms, regulation, pricing, monitoring and evaluation. .
