BUILDING & GROUND:
Porumamilla is located at the latitude of 15.003 and the longitude of 78.99 Govt.Degree college is situated in pleasant atmospheres on the outskirts of porumamilla, on the way to Badvel. The total area of the campus is 48.65 acres with a lot of ground surrounding the own building of the college of 24 newly well constructed spacious class rooms, Well equipped labs, office and the other rooms. In an extent of 5 hectares more than 2000 saplings were planted to develop greenery with in the campus.
STAFF:
There are 16 regular 3 Contract and 8 Guest Lecturer in the teaching faculty besides 10 employees of the non-Teaching staff. Presently Dr.S.Sashikala is acting as the Principal (FAC) of the College.

General Rules of College Discipline
- The Principal of the college has complete power over the maintenance of the discipline of the students of the college.
- The Principal may frame from time to time disciplinary rules of permanent or temporary character regulating the conduct with in the college.
- On the Report of the Principal or other authorities all such breaches of discipline as in the opinion of these authorities call for the imposition of rustication from examination etc., as punishment will be decided by a separate committee constituted for the purpose.
- The staff council or a separate committee will pass thereon such orders with approval of the chair man or principal in deemed necessary.
- In the Interest of the institution, the Principal shall have the power to impose fine, suspension or expulsion as punishment.
- The Principal of the College may prohibit students from attending the political or other meetings if the apprehend a breach of peace.
- Students of the College going on strike or guilty of any serious indiscipline shall if so for too immediately at their scholarships.
- If any students discontinues he/her studies form the college should inform the same to the principal at an early date.
Student Code of Conduct
Govt. Degree College, Discipline committee framed some specified standard regulations of student’s behavior which it considers essential to its educational mission and its community life. These regulations are designed to represent reasonable standards of conduct. The student’ code of conduct governs the behavior of students on campus and at college sponsored activities. Violations of the code may subject individual to disciplinary action.
The following conduct shall constitute good cause for discipline
- Every student shall come to the college in time, in clean and decent dress
- Every student shall carry his identity card with him and shoe the same when ever he is asked to do so by any staff member.
- With out the identity card he/she will not be allowed into the college.
- All students are expected to maintain excellent attendance in all classes (more than 75%)
- Students are requested not to make noise in the college, who disturb the classes is liable for punishment.
- Students are prohibited form loitering in varnadas, campus or classes surroundings during working hours.
- Willful or persistent smoking in any area in the campus is strictly prohibited.
- Scrubbing on harassing or board or on the walls is strictly prohibited and punishable
- Engaging in harassing or discriminatory behavior based on race, religion creed, disability,sex (i.e.,Gender)will be punished
- The student shall be courteous to the member of the faculty and are expected to greet them when ever they meet them
- No student shall be allow to leave the class room with out the permission of concerned class teacher or until class is cancelled period on administrative reasons
- Students who have no class in a particular period shall not disturb other classes at work.
- Obstruction or disruption of teaching will be viewed as misconduct and those who involved in will be penalized
- Dishonesty, forgery, alteration or misuse of college documents, records or identification: or knowingly furnishing false information will be punished
- Bringing cellular telephones and other similar electronic devices must be turned off in class rooms.
- If any student violate the conduct such student will be expelled from the class by the lecturer. The student so expelled shall be deemed to be absent for the period. All such case shall be reported to the principal.
Students Enrollment- Academic Year
The Candidates who will be completion their Intermediate courses are eligible for to apply for admission and enrolling the college, in three year Degree course. Enrollment will be assigned to each candidate in admission. The enrolment will hold good for the whole course of study. Students should in variable quote their admission/ enrollment number in all their future correspondence in our college.

This College Department of Physical Education providing every opportunity to enhance physical prowess among students. For the academic year 2011-12 students took part in Y.V.University Inter Collegiate Games and spots meet invarious disciplines like
