How to control mind : During the war of Mahabharata, when Arjuna refused to fight, then Shri Krishna explains to Arjun, “Arjun, why are you afraid of?” You are a part of God Himself. Look at your soul by peeping inside yourself and then you will see the form of that divine in spirit.
Then Arjuna says that Lord, you say that there is a habit of soul in this body and now you are saying that look at the soul? After all who will see this soul? Is there any other power which the soul will see in this body?
Mr. Krishna – Yes, mind! This mind is very powerful. To explain the Arjun mind in detail, I tell you a story –
“Think that the body is a chariot. There are five horses in this chariot that drive the chariot. These five horses are our five senses. The charioteer is the charioteer – “Man” and this charioteer has the rein in the hands of the five horses.
It can take these horses wherever they want. The lord of this chariot is a king who is sitting on the throne of the chariot. This king is our soul who owns this whole chariot shaped body.
This mind is very playful, it is attracted towards addiction, pleasure, luxury and lust. This mind-shaped charioteer, which looks like a dread of happiness, takes these five horses in the same way. The chariot of this mind-shaped chariot makes what we want with our senses and takes it wherever it is taken.
The conscience of our body is the king of the chariot. If the king is powerful then he can stop the chariot chariot from doing anything wrong. This king is the owner of the whole chariot. Whatever this command will have to obey this charioteer.
But unfortunately it is not so easy to control this mind. For this, the soul, that is, the king must always keep an eye on it. If the soul is able to control the mind, then this mind then accepts the spirit itself. ”
O Arjun, this mind is so powerful that if it does not control the person, then it will keep you going astray for life and if the person takes control of the mind, then this mind takes the soul to the divine, so strong is that mind !!
Arjun! You do not have any idea of the power of this mind, which makes the person understand the power of this mind and takes control over it, that person becomes a purely God-man.
Arjun – O Krishna! If this mind is so strong then what are the measures to control it? How to control this minded charioteer?
Sri Krishna – Arjuna has two ways to overcome this mind –
first experience
Second – quiet
This mind is very playful. Whenever it goes in the wrong direction, stop it, bring your mind back to the right path. It will run again, then you grab it again and bring it. It will run away but you keep holding it every time.
In order to control a horse, many people have to make many efforts. The new horse does not let the ridder sit on top of him and knocks down the horse repeatedly, but if the horseman is determined, then he falls frequently and again tries to control the horse and in the end he succeeds in overcoming the horse. And then this horse takes the cavalier to his destination. In the same way, you will have to try again and again. This process is very difficult, but continuous effort will come one day when this mind will only run on your say and you will become its true master.
The second is the way – understand what is bad and explain to your mind that it is bad. Avoid bad associations and bad habits and adopt good ideas. Do not meditate on those who are addicted, who are addicted. Get rid of them as you get a bad idea in mind, think about the good topics. In this way you will be able to control your mind.
Arjun! Remember, this mind is so powerful that if it is ensnared then it takes hold of your hand and takes it to Paramdham and if you do not do it, then it will not leave you or this person …
Friends, Shri Krishna explained Arjun with his mind through the example of the chariot, and I sincerely hope that you have got to learn a lot.
