Institute of banking personnel selection is shortly called IBPS an organization which offers services to candidates in fields of personnel selection, assessment and recruitment. Exam Pattern: Written test will be of 200 marks. Total time duration will be 2 hours is given to solve the paper. One answer is to be chosen from 5 options. There will ¼ negative marking is applicable for wrong. The question will consist from four sections such as English, reasoning, professional knowledge are common. General awareness or answers or quantitative aptitude depends on the particular section.

Quantitative Aptitude: Simplification, Numbers, Roots, Average, Profit and Loss, Surds & Indices, Percentage, Ratio & Proportion, Boats & Streams, Simple and Compound Interest, Allegations, Stocks & Shares, Clocks, Logarithms, Menstruation, Volume & Surface Area, Permutation & combination, Probability, Heights & Distances Partnership, Chain Rule, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Pipes & Cisterns, Problems on Trains, Tabulation, Pie Charts, Bar Graphs, Line Graphs.
General / Banking Awareness: Questions in this section will be asked for testing the candidate’s general awareness of the environments around him and its application to society. These questions will be such that they do not require a specific study of any discipline. Questions on knowledge of current events, India and its neighboring countries, Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economy, General Polity, Indian Constitution, Scientific Research etc. topics will be asked. Over 50% of the questions will be related to Banking, Finance and Economy.
Professional Knowledge: Questions from respective fields are asked – Agriculture, Law, Marketing, IT and HR for Engineering (Professional Knowledge) – respective branch syllabus of GATE exam. Just basic questions will be asked. So just prepare your basics of engineering.
