Staff Selection Commission SSC is formed on November 04, 1975 and having headquarters in New Delhi, India. A. Bhattacharya an IAS is the Chairman of SSC. It is an Indian organization to recruit the staff for various posts in the various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India and in Subordinates Offices.
This commission is an attached office of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) which consists of Chairman, two members and a secretary-cum-controller of the Examinations. The main function of the SSC is to conduct the examinations and interviews to make recruitment to Group C and Group D posts for the various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India. It does not make any recruitment for states. It serves only Central Government.

Staff Selection Commission SSC has recently conducted various examinations for Multi – Tasking Staff, Combined Graduate Level, Junior Engineer, and Rectt. Of SI in CAPFs, ASI in CISF, Junior Hindi Translator in Subordinates Offices Etc. and now it is moving towards the next examination and going to organized another examination in the month of August, September, October and December.
