ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Eligibility Criteria for admission to PG Courses: (For all PG course including the subjects for which CEE is applicable).

For PG courses in Faculty of Science and Technology, Social Sciences and Arts.

The candidate for admission to first semester of P.G. Degree/Diploma course shall be required to have passed concerned degree examination of the Gulbarga University or any other University recognized by the Gulbarga University as equivalent thereto securing not less than 50% of marks in the concerned / cognate subject and 50% marks in the aggregate at the Bachelor’s Degree course as a whole. However, SC/ST and Cat-I candidate should have secured at least 45% in the concerned/cognate subject and in the aggregate at the Bachelor’s Degree Course as a whole.

Minimum percentage of marks for seeking admission to M.A. degree in Sanskrit, Marathi and Urdu and Persian courses shall be 45% for general merit candidates. 40% for other categories and 35% in case of SC/ST and Cat-1 candidates.

For P.G. Courses in Faculty of Commerce and Management

COMMERCE:
The candidate for admission to the first semester of P. G. Degree/ Diploma course shall be required to have passed B.Com./BBM/BCS examination of the Gulbarga University or any other University recognized by the Gulbarga University as equivalent thereto securing not less than 50% of marks in the concerned / cognate subjects and also in aggregate at the Bachelor’s Degree Course as a whole. However, SC/ST and Cat-I candidates should have secured at least 45% in the concerned / cognate subjects and also in aggregate at the Bachelor’s Degree Course as a whole.

For P.G. Courses in Faculty of Education

M.Ed. Candidates seeking admission to the M.Ed, programme should have obtained at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade in the following programmes as prescribed by NCTE and UGC BA. B.Ed:, B.Sc. B.Ed;, BScEd; BAEd: B.El.Ed. Reservation and relaxation for SC/ST / OBC / PWD / Article 371 (J) Categories shall be as per the rules of the Central /State Governments.

M. P. Ed.
Candidates for admission to first semester of M.P.Ed Course shall be required to have passed B.P.Ed, degree examination of the Gulbarga University or any other University recognized by the Gulbarga University as equivalent there to securing not less than 50% of marks in aggregate and SC / ST and Category-I candidates should have secured at least 45% in aggregate. However, candidates who are deputed by Govt, of Karnataka to the course are exempt from the above eligibility condition.

B. P. Ed.
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50% marks and having at least participation in the Inter-College / Inter Zonal / District / School competition in sports and games as recognized by the A1U / IOA / SGFI / Govt, of India.

OR

Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with 45%.

OR

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 45% marks and studied physical education as a compulsory/elective / optional subject.

OR

Bachelor’s degree with 45% marks and having participated in National / Inter – University competitions or secured 1st. 2nd or 3rd position in Inter-College / Inter-Zonal / District / School competition in sports and games as recognized by the AIU / IOA / SGFI / Govt, of India.

OR

Bachelor’s degree with participation in International competitions or secured V\ 2nd or 3rd position in Inter-College / Inter-Zonal / District / School competition in National /Inter- University competition in sports and games as recognized by respective federation / AIU / IOA / SGFI / Govt, of India.

OR

Graduation with 45% marks and at least three years of teaching experience, (for deputed in- service candidates i.e. trained physical education teachers / coaches).

The relaxation in the percentage of marks in qualifying examination and in the reservation of seats for SC / ST / OBC and other categories shall be as per the rules of the Central Government / State Government whichever is applicable.

P. G. DIPLOMA IN YOGA: (DUEL SYSTEM)

A candidate who has passed a Degree Examination in any faculty of this University or any recognized University in India or abroad shall be eligible to opt for the course along with their P.G.Degree or B.P.Ed. / B.Ed, as a Duel Degree System.

A Candidate should be medically fit. (Medical Fitness Certificate from the Competent authority should be produced at the time of admission).

Students who are studying in any other regular course of P.G. / B.Ed. / B.P.Ed, are eligible to take admission to this course as a Dual Degree System.

TYPE OF ADMISSION

Candidates can apply for either (i)Academic Year admission or (ii) Calendar Year admission.

a) ACADEMIC YEAR ADMISSION

Candidates are admitted during June to December for all Under Graduate / Post Graduate Courses

b) CALENDAR YEAR ADMISSION

Candidates are admitted during January to May for all Under Graduate / Post Graduate Courses

ELIGIBILITY

Candidates who have passed the Qualifying Examination from any Recognised Institution or University will be admitted in UG / PG Degree Courses under Regular System in DD & CE on verification of Certificates in Original.

SPOT ADMISSION

The candidates will be given spot admission for a course during the week days at the Spot Admission Centres located in University Campus, Tirunelveli – 627 012 and S.T. Hindu College, Nagercoil – 629 002.

ADMISSION BY POST

Applications received by post will be accepted only after verification. Directorate will send intimation of admission to each applicant. Intimation regarding admission and course material will be sent to the students by post within 15 days from the date of receipt of all the certificates and the application form along with the demand draft. Those who do not receive any communication within the time specified may contact the Directorate and represent the matter.

RE-ADMISSION

Candidates who have completed (passed or failed) first year or second year studies in Affiliated Colleges of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University and discontinued their studies will be readmitted in Second year or Third Year in the same discipline on verification of the following original certificates obtained from the Colleges / University last studied.

1. Transfer Certificate, where the student studied last
2. Mark Statement issued by the University / Colleges

Along with current year Tuition and Other Fees, such readmitted candidates should pay the fee for Study Material for the previous year courses which are not exempted. He / She should appear for examinations for all the non – exempted previous year subjects.
