About CET/KEA:-

CET (Common Entrance Test) Karnataka is a state level entrance examination conducted bythe KEA (Karnataka Examinations Authority), Bangalore every yearfor admission to the First year or First semester of full time courses for Government share of seats in Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy & Yoga, Engineering, Technology, B.Pharma, 2nd year B.pharm, (Lateral entry), Pharma-D course in Government / University / Private Aided/ Private Un-Aided Professional Educational Institutions in the State of Karnataka.

Application Form:-

The application form, which is common to all the candidates for admission to professional courses through KEA can find with prospectus. The candidates will be filled the Application Form by using BALL PEN (Either BLUE or BLACK). The candidates are advised that words are filled in CAPITAL LATER only and circle will be shaded accurately and also fill code accurately which are decided by KEA.

Syllabus:-

The question papers of the Common Entrance Test will be mostly based on the 1st and 2nd PUC syllabi prescribed by the Department of Pre-University Education of Karnataka State.

Paper Pattern:-

The CET-2019 entrance examination will be held in two days in four different sessions for four papers Each question paper will be of (Objective) Multiple Choice type.

Marking Method:-

Each question will be awrd ONE mark. THERE WILL BE NO NEGATIVE EVALUATION WITH REGARD TO WRONG ANSWERS.

Language of the paper:-

Paper of CET-2014 entrance examination is available inEnglish and Kannada language. And the choice of selecting it is available in the Application form. So you can give examination in these two languages, which so ever you are comfortable with.

Procedure of Selection:-

1-The applicants who have qualified the CET-2014 entrance examination will be allocated seats in the various medical colleges after counseling. Allocation of seats in various medical colleges depends upon ranks obtained in CET-2014 medical entrance examination.

2-In the case of Medical and Dental Courses, the merit will be determined only on the basis of marks obtained by Candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects taken together in the Common Entrance Test – 2014.

3-In case of B-Pharma merit will be determined on the basis of performance of the candidates in Physics,Chemistry and Biology subjects or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects i.e, PCB or PCM marks whichever is highest in Common Entrance Test 2014. Common rank list will be prepared and published separately for admission to B-Pharma.

4-In case of Pharma-D merit will be determined on the basis of performance of the candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects i.e, PCB or PCM marks whichever is highest in the Common Entrance Test 2014. Common rank list will be prepared and publishedseparately for admission to Pharma-D.

5-In case of 2nd Year B-Pharma (Lateral Entry), merit will be determined on the basis of performance of the candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects i.e, PCB or PCM marks whichever is highest in the Common Entrance Test 2014.

Note:-Provided that where the merit of two or more candidates is the same, the interse merit shall be determined with reference to the marks obtained in the Common Entrance Test in Biology in the case of Medical / Dental/ Indian Systems of Medicine and Homeopathy courses and in Mathematics in the case of Engineering /Technology courses and where the marks obtained in such cases are equal then the interse merit shall be determined on the basis of the marks obtained in Chemistry in the case of Medical / Dental / Indian Systems of Medicine and Homeopathy courses and in Physics in the case of Engineering / Technology courses and where the marks obtained are equal again the interse merit shall be determined on the basis of the marks obtained in the respective subjects in the Qualifying examination as stipulated above and where marks obtained are equal again, the interse merit shall be determined on the basis of the age of the candidate, wherein the elder candidate will be considered before the younger.

About CET/KEA:-

CET (Common Entrance Test) Karnataka is a state level entrance examination conducted by the KEA (Karnataka Examinations Authority), Bangalore every year for admission to the First year or First semester of full time courses for Government share of seats in Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy & Yoga, Engineering, Technology, B.Pharma, 2nd year B.Pharma Lateral Entry, Pharma-D course in Government / University / Private Aided/ Private Un-Aided Professional Educational Institutions in the State of Karnataka.

Essential Qualification For :-

The candidate should have studied and passed in one or more Government or Government recognized educational institutions located in the State of Karnataka for a minimum period of SEVEN academic years commencing from 1st standard to 2nd PUC / 12th standard as on 1st July of the year in which the Entrance Test is held and must have appeared and passed either SSLC / 10th standard or 2nd PUC / 12th standard examination from Karnataka State

 (A)-Medical / Dental courses: Candidate has passed 12th standard or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with aggregate minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects for General category while for SC/ST/OBC candidates minimum aggregate qualifying marks are 40% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.

(B)-Ayurveda / Unani /Homoeopathy / Naturopathy & Yoga courses:- A candidate who has passed 12th standard or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and English as one of the languages of study and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects for General category while for SC/ST/OBC candidates minimum aggregate qualifying marks are 40% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects for admission to Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga courses.

(C)-Veterinary: For admission to Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry course candidate has obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects in Qualifying Examination and 40% for SC, ST/OBC.

(D)-B.Pharma(1st Year): Admission to B-Pharma, candidates should have passed 10+2 in PCB/PCM with minimum 45% marks in aggregate for General candidates, 40% for SC/ST and OBC or passed Diploma in Pharmacy examination from an Institution approved by the Pharmacy council of India and has secured a minimum of 45% of marks for General candidates and 40% for SC/ST/ OBC candidates.

(E)-Pharma –D: Admission to Pharma-D, Candidates should have passed in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or passed in Diploma in Pharmacy examination from an Institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India.

(F)-B.Pharm (2nd Year-Lateral Entry) : Candidate has Passed in Diploma in Pharmacy examination from an Institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India and has secured minimum of 45 % marks for General Merit ( 40% for SC/ST , Category-1 and OBC).

 (G)-For admission to Bachelor of Technology in Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Food Science and Technology, Bachelor of Fishery Science, and Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Marketing and Co-operation courses:- candidate who has passed the 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology as optional subjects.

(H)-For admission to Bachelor of Technology in Agriculture Engineering course:- candidate who has passed the 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as optional subjects.

(i)-For Engineering / Technology courses: A candidate who has passed the 12th standard with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science as optional subjects with English as one of the languages of study and obtained an aggregate minimum of 45% marks in the optional subjects in the 12th standard for General while for SC/ST/OBC it is 40%.

Provided that, the marks scored by the candidate in Bio-Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science in the 12th standard will be considered in place of Chemistry, in case the marks obtained in Chemistry is less for required aggregate percentage, only for the purpose of determination of eligibility and not for the purpose of determination of rank, in respect of Engineering / Technology courses.

(J)-For Architecture course: A candidate who has passed the 12th standard with Mathematics as one of the optional subjects and secured a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in all subjects in Q. E is eligible for admission to Architecture course. 45% of marks in the case of SC, ST, Category-I, OBC candidates, and person with disability of mental retardation or mental illness (including dyslexia). Provided that, a candidate should also appear and secure a minimum of 40% marks in NATA (including SC, ST, Category-I and OBC category candidates as per THE COUNCIL OF ARCHITECTURE conducted by the Council of Architecture. The candidates should submit the photocopy of the NATA SCORE CARD along with 12th std. marks card by mentioning the CET number to KEA either in person or through ‘Speed Post’.

Architecture rank list will be prepared on the basis of candidates performance in qualifying examination and NATA .

NOTE : Candidates who do not pass in all the subjects in the qualifying examination and academic eligibility detailed above for various professional courses, will not be eligible to be considered for allotment of seats in the respective courses.

A candidate who passes in all the subjects in the qualifying examination and later withdraws one or more subject for reappearing in the qualifying examination for bettering his performance will also not be considered for allotment of seats in the regular round and will be treated as a supplementary candidate.

About NATA:-

National Aptitude Test in Architecture(NATA) is an All India level entrance examination conducted by the Council of the Architecture. Intake capacity(seats) in Government, Aided and Un-aided institutions of the State are offered ONLY to the candidates who have appeared for NATA and who have obtained the prescribed minimum marks in both Qualifying Examination and NATA.

Therefore, all the candidates who want to be considered for allotment of Architecture seats, should compulsorily appear for NATA, and should obtain a minimum of 40% marks including SC, ST, Category-I and OBC category candidates in NATA (In other words one has to secure a minimum of 80 MARKS OUT OF 200). Such candidates should obtain and submit their NATA scores along with the copy of the 2nd PU / 12 Std. Marks Card (by boldly writing their CET Number on the NATA score card) to the KEA either in person or only through ‘Speed Post’.

The candidate should be completed age of 17 year at the end of applying year in which you have taken the admission.

KEA Recruitment 2019: Karnataka Examination Authority has released a recruitment notification to recruit 2160 Assistant Professor. Now eligible and interested candidates can fill online application form of Karnataka Examination Authority Recruitment 2019 through the official website of KEA i.e. www.kea.kar.nic.in.

The Karnataka Examination Authority conduct the Common Entrance Test (CET) for students in Karnataka who wants to study in courses like engineering, Medicine, agriculture etc. KET also Conduct Post Graduation common Entrance Test (PGCET) for graduate candidates who want to get admission in M.Tech, MBA, or MCA Courses.

Educational Qualification:
