About CET/KEA:-
CET (Common Entrance Test) Karnataka is a state level entrance examination conducted bythe KEA (Karnataka Examinations Authority), Bangalore every yearfor admission to the First year or First semester of full time courses for Government share of seats in Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy & Yoga, Engineering, Technology, B.Pharma, 2nd year B.pharm, (Lateral entry), Pharma-D course in Government / University / Private Aided/ Private Un-Aided Professional Educational Institutions in the State of Karnataka.

Application Form:-
The application form, which is common to all the candidates for admission to professional courses through KEA can find with prospectus. The candidates will be filled the Application Form by using BALL PEN (Either BLUE or BLACK). The candidates are advised that words are filled in CAPITAL LATER only and circle will be shaded accurately and also fill code accurately which are decided by KEA.
Syllabus:-
The question papers of the Common Entrance Test will be mostly based on the 1st and 2nd PUC syllabi prescribed by the Department of Pre-University Education of Karnataka State.

Paper Pattern:-
The CET-2019 entrance examination will be held in two days in four different sessions for four papers Each question paper will be of (Objective) Multiple Choice type.

Marking Method:-
Each question will be awrd ONE mark. THERE WILL BE NO NEGATIVE EVALUATION WITH REGARD TO WRONG ANSWERS.
Language of the paper:-
Paper of CET-2014 entrance examination is available inEnglish and Kannada language. And the choice of selecting it is available in the Application form. So you can give examination in these two languages, which so ever you are comfortable with.
Procedure of Selection:-
1-The applicants who have qualified the CET-2014 entrance examination will be allocated seats in the various medical colleges after counseling. Allocation of seats in various medical colleges depends upon ranks obtained in CET-2014 medical entrance examination.
2-In the case of Medical and Dental Courses, the merit will be determined only on the basis of marks obtained by Candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects taken together in the Common Entrance Test – 2014.
3-In case of B-Pharma merit will be determined on the basis of performance of the candidates in Physics,Chemistry and Biology subjects or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects i.e, PCB or PCM marks whichever is highest in Common Entrance Test 2014. Common rank list will be prepared and published separately for admission to B-Pharma.
4-In case of Pharma-D merit will be determined on the basis of performance of the candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects i.e, PCB or PCM marks whichever is highest in the Common Entrance Test 2014. Common rank list will be prepared and publishedseparately for admission to Pharma-D.
5-In case of 2nd Year B-Pharma (Lateral Entry), merit will be determined on the basis of performance of the candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects i.e, PCB or PCM marks whichever is highest in the Common Entrance Test 2014.
Note:-Provided that where the merit of two or more candidates is the same, the interse merit shall be determined with reference to the marks obtained in the Common Entrance Test in Biology in the case of Medical / Dental/ Indian Systems of Medicine and Homeopathy courses and in Mathematics in the case of Engineering /Technology courses and where the marks obtained in such cases are equal then the interse merit shall be determined on the basis of the marks obtained in Chemistry in the case of Medical / Dental / Indian Systems of Medicine and Homeopathy courses and in Physics in the case of Engineering / Technology courses and where the marks obtained are equal again the interse merit shall be determined on the basis of the marks obtained in the respective subjects in the Qualifying examination as stipulated above and where marks obtained are equal again, the interse merit shall be determined on the basis of the age of the candidate, wherein the elder candidate will be considered before the younger.
