West Bengal State Council of Technical Education (WBSCTE) conducting the VOCLET Entrance Exam 2017 for admission into Second Year of Diploma Courses in Engineering & Technology in W.B. for the academic year 2017-18 -
The candidates who Passed / appeared for Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination from the WBSCT & VE & SD (VED) [erstwhile WBSCVET) OR Passed 2 years' ITI after Madhyamik or equivalent examination are eligible to apply for VOCLET 2017. -
VOCLET is a state level entrance test for West Bengal state & the Diploma 2nd Year admissions based through merit in VOCLET. -
WBSCTE conducting the VOCLET Entrance examination 2017 at 19 various examination centers through the state. -
VOCLET is a pen and paper offline (OMR sheet) based entrance test. -
The second year Diploma course admission seat allotment will be decided by the Government at the time of counselling, based on merit in VOCET 2017 Merit. -
Candidates also submit the Medical Standards Candidates at the time of admission.

Eligibility Criteria to Apply for WBSCTE VOCLET 2017
The applicant Citizenship: Must be an Indian Citizen.
Educational Qualification: The applicants passed (or) appeared in 2017 Final Year exams for Higher Secondary (10 + 2) Examination of the West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development (Vocational Education Division) or having passed 2 years’ ITI plus Madhyamik or equivalent examination passed are eligible to apply for VOCLET-2017.
Not eligible candidates for VOCLET 2017
The students, who appeared in ITI final year examinations in 2017 year, are not eligible for VOCLET-2017.
Candidates having passed vocational course from Councils / Boards other than WBSCT & VE&SD (VED) [erstwhile, WBSCVE&T] are not eligible.
Age Limit for VOCLET 2017
There is no age limit for this entrance test.
VOCLET Application Fee Payment: The fee payment mode is two types those are mentioned below
- If CASH payment by hand then: Rs. 500/- for general candidates and Rs. 250/- for valid Kanyashree enrollees
- Registration Fee for Online Application is Rs. 450/- for General candidates and Rs. 225/- for valid Kanyashree enrollees
WBSCTE VOCLET 2017 Application Procedure (How to apply)
There are two modes (Online and Offline application submission process) are available to apply for VOCLET Entrance test 2017
Offline application form submission
The eligible and interested candidates choose offline application submission, and then you should purchase the prescribed OMR Application Form along with Information Brochure for VOCLET – 2017. The OMR Application Form, duly filled-in, is to be submitted to any of the Polytechnics on or before last date i.e. 6th March, 2017 from 30th January, 2017.
Online Application form submission
Candidates can also apply for VOCLET 2017 through online official website at www.webscte.org from 30th January, 2017 to 6th March, 2017. Applicant must indicate a second choice of Zone of Examination along with first choice.

WBSCTE VOCLET 2017 e-Admit Card Download Online
The successfully applicants for VOCLET Entrance examination 2017, those who are eligible and preparing to appear for the test, you are suggested to download your e-Admit card through online. VOCLET 2017 Scheme / Pattern of Test
VOCLET Entrance test will be conducted in two papers, those are mentioned below
- First Paper: Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry
- Second Paper: Mechanics & Computer
All questions will be in Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) Type
Note: More than one answer against any question will be treated as incorrect response / answer. There will be no negative marking system for this entrance test. The 2nd Year of Diploma Courses in Engineering/Technology admissions will be provided based on merit in VOCLET 2017.
Procedure for Conduct of VOCLET Examination (Instructions for candidates)
- Candidates must enter the examination hall 30 minutes before the start of the examination.
- Candidates must bring with them the downloaded VOCLET-2017 e-Admit Card along with an original Photo Identity card such as Driving License / Aadhaar Card / Voter Identity Card / PAN Card / Passport / Admit Card or Certificate of Madhyamik or equivalent examination which contain the photograph / Bank Passbook which contain the photograph or any other photo identity card issued by the Competent Government Authority to prove their identity
- Candidates must bring Blue/Black Ball-point pen to answer in your OMR sheet.
WBSCTE VOCLET Syllabus 2017
The VOCLET 2017 question prepared based on the latest revised syllabus of West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development (Vocational Education Division) for Higher Secondary (10+2) examination shall be followed for VOCLET-2017.
WBSCTE VOCLET 2017 Publication of Merit Position
- For VOCLET Test, No Rank Card will be issued by the Council to the merit listed candidates individually.
- Merit positions will be available in the website of the Council at www.webscte.org (tentatively) within 19th May, 2017
- Candidates will not be merit listed unless they score at least 20% marks in both the papers separately.
WBSCTE VOCLET 2017 Diploma Course Admission Procedure
- The Polytechnics / Technological Institutions Diploma admissions will be made through counselling.
- Candidates should submit their all relevant original certificated at the time of 2nd Year Diploma admissions counselling certificate verification process.
- Candidates should submit the Scheduled Caste / Tribe, Physically Challenged, candidates are required to produce the Caste Certificate or Physically Challenged (Handicapped) Certificate in original issued by the competent authority of Government of West Bengal at the time of admission.
- Candidates seeking admission to the Courses under the WBSCT&VE&SD (TED) should possess good health and physique with sound mind.
- They should not be suffering from any disease / physical or mental infirmity. All candidates (including Physically Challenged) have to produce Medical Fitness Certificate mentioning the following criteria issued by the Registered Medical Practitioner at the time of admission.
- Such certificates must possess Signature, Seal and Registration No. of the Medical Practitioner.
PRESCRIBED MEDICAL STANDARDS FOR ADMISSION
Candidates must satisfy medical fitness prescribed below.
(a) No Colour Blindness.
(b) Physically & mentally fit.
(c) Able to pursue Technical Course.
Note : There is no scope of admission through Management Quota under Lateral Entry Scheme.
WBSCTE VOCLET 2017 Method of Counselling
- West Bengal State Council of Technical Education (WBSCTE) will be conducting the counseling in June, 2017 (Tentatively).
- The eligible candidates for 2nd Year Diploma Courses Admission will be called for counselling process.
- Candidates required attending the counselling process in their allotted date and timing.
- The detailed counselling schedule will be update at www.webscte.org
- 2nd Year Diploma course admissions will be decided in counselling process by the Government
- Candidate will have to take admission within the date mentioned in the allotment letter.
- Candidates should appear in the counselling process along with their relevant original certificates, because you need to submit it for certificate verification.
