IAF AFCAT 2/2017 Notification Eligibility Criteria
This segment will cover the requisites that one has to meet in order to become a successful participant of AFCAT 2017. Every condition must be met not matter what. The Eligibility Criteria are various for all branches and we have given the same branch-wise in the segment below. The age of the applying contestants should fall between the minimum and maximum age limitations which we have discussed below. Again, the essential qualifications to apply online for AFCAT-II is different, that is why we have given them separately:
1) For Flying Branch
Required Qualification
The postulant must hold a Degree passed in any discipline and must have aggregate 60% marks in that. Having PCM (Physics, Chemistry, & Mathematics) is compulsory in 12th Class or they should have done B.Tech/B.E degree from any well-recognised university with at least 60% marks.
Age Limit
The age of the applying ones need to be between 20 years and 24 years.
Required Height
The height of you should be 162.5 CMS
Length
The maximum length should be 64 CMS
Sitting Height
The minimum sitting height should be 81.5 CMS whereas the maximum sitting height should be 96.
Vision
Also, there is a requirement of the vision of the candidates which is 6/6 in first eye and 6/9 in the another one.
Weight
The weight of the appliers should be proportionate to the age and the height.
2) For Technical Branch
Age Limit
For this branch, candidates’ age must be between 20 years to 26 years which will be counted on 1st July 2018.
Qualification
A four-year-degree with section A and B (passed) of AMIE or Indian Aeronautical Society with at least 60% passing marks.
Weight
The weight should be balanced to the height and age of the postulants.
Height
The height needs to be 157.5 with correlated weight.
Minimum Height (Women)
The minimum height of Women must be 152 CMS.
3) For Ground Duty Branch
Essential Qualification
- If one is looking for Administration and Logistics posts, then one must hold a 3-year-degree qualification 60% marks or have got Section A & B examination of AMIE or Aeronautical Society of India.
- Or if anyone is applying for Account posts, then required qualification is B.Com (minimum 3 years) with 60% marks.
- Or those who want to apply for Education posts have to have an MBA/MCA or M.Sc./MA in required subjects (disciplines) with minimum 50% marks as aggregate. Please go through the links to know more.

The minimum age should be 20 years or more but not more than 26 years.
Height
There is a requirement of minimum height i.e. 157.5 CMS.
Height (Women)
Female Postulants have to have minimum height of 152 CMS.
Important Announcement for Eligibility Criteria
If anyone who is wishing to apply for AFCAT-2 Exam has failed in PABT exam in previous days are not eligible to apply for this test.
Also, final year students are eligible provided that they must have obtained 60% as aggregate and they must not be present with backlog. They should be able to provide with original/provisional degrees before they commence of training takes place.
