Cotton College State University has been conducting the Cotton Post-Graduate Entrance Examination for admission into Post-Graduate courses in Arts and Science for the session 2015-16, M.A. / M.Sc./MCA/ PGDCA/ other PG Diploma, Courses are offered in 22 (twenty two) subjects in 21 Departments of CCSU. The PG classes Admission of the CCSU University is done on the basis of merit list prepared by taking 50% weightage of percentage of marks obtained in Cotton Post-Graduate Entrance Examination (CPGEE) and final qualifying degree examination.

Eligibility for CPGEE:
Admission to Post-Graduate degree/ diploma programmes will be given purely on the basis of merit, keeping in view the reservation policy of the Government of Assam. The merit list will be prepared as per procedure outlined elsewhere. The candidates who pass the following examinations from recognized universities can apply for admission in PG Classes.
- B.A./B.Sc. (in the 10 + 2 + 3 pattern) with Major Course (1st preference) in the concerned subject.
- Only those candidates who obtain their qualifying degree on or after 2011 are eligible to apply.
- Recognition of qualifying degree obtained under Distance Education Programmes will be as per the prevailing guidelines of the University Grants Commission.
Note :
- Eligibility criteria for MA in Sociology is graduation in any discipline who passed on or after 2011.
- Eligibility criteria for MA in Psychology is graduation in any discipline who passed on or after 2011.
Application Fee & Payment Process :
Applicants are charged a fee of Rs. 500.00 (Rupees five hundred only) in the form of application cum entrance examination fee. Payment service providers may charge an additional fee depending upon the mode of payment. The application fee can be paid either through the payment gateway or by way of cash payment in any branch of ICICI Bank throughout India. For making payment online, the intending applicant should access the payment gateway in the payment section. For cash payment, intending applicants should access the respective section, fill-in the information required, take a print out of the challan, go to any branch of ICICI Bank, make the payment and take back the challan for further action. Those paying online can fill up the form immediately, but those making cash payment through the challan shall have to fill up the form on the third day (subject to receipt of MIS report from the bank) by logging in to the portal.

Cotton College State University likely issue the CPGEE Admission 2016-17 test notification in March month of 2016 through their official website for the interested candidates. The admission notification invited from the eligible candidates who are interesting to apply for the CPGEE Entrance Examination Held in July 2016 may apply on or before last date by sending the application fee along with the duly filled application form must reach to the university.

All candidates are required to get minumum 50% pass marks in CPGEE 2016 to qualify the entrance test. Below 50% score in CPGEE 2016 are not eligible for counselling.

Why because, we don’t know the exact reason, but will be some reason for this during late of PG admission 2016-17. Last year the CPGEE 2015 online registration started on 11-May 2015, and the online application submission closed by 15-Jun 2015. Now today date is 17th June 2016, still now not activated the CPGEE 2016 online registration form by the CCSU University.
