Delhi University’s Journalism Entrance Test Cancelled:-
Delhi University’s journalism entrance test has been cancelled after the Journalism (honors) course has been replaced by the four year undergraduate programme (FYUP) named “Bachelors of Journalism and Mass Communication (BJMC)” with a revised course content.
A combined journalism entrance test (CJET) used to be conducted for admission to B.A. (Hons.)journalism course offered by five colleges of Delhi University, while the Indraprastha College for Women, which used to provide a unique course of Bachelor of Mass Media and Mass Communication (BMMMC), used to conduct a separate test.
“BMMMC is merged with Journalism but the course component of BMMMC is still there and Journalism component has been enhanced ,” said principal of IP College, Babli Moitra Saraf, who is also the head of journalism department in the college.
The admissions for academic session 2013 – 14 will be based on meritand the six colleges that will be offering the Bachelor with honours in Journalism and Mass Communication (BJMC) are:-
- Kamala Nehru College
- Delhi College of Arts and Commerce (DCAC)
- Kalindi College
- Maharaja Agrasen College
- Lady Shri Ram College (LSR)
- Indraprastha College for Women
