The Central Reserve Police Force CRPF is one of the oldest, largest and most experienced armed police forces in the country. It works under the auspices of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Home Ministry) of the Government of India. The Central Reserve Police Force came into force on 27th July 1939 as a representative of the Taj representative, after the implementation of the CRPF Act on December 28, 1949, after the Central Reserve Police Force’s independence came into force. The primary responsibility of the army is to help states in the management of internal security and riot control. The Rapid Action Force (RAP) is a special branch of the CRPF, which was specifically raised in 1992 to combat terrorism and insurgency with the distinction of having two special ‘women’ ie women battalions.
Demand for this force has increased tremendously from the States and Union Territories and this force has been called for help in the states in almost every situation. The role of the army and the services rendered by it has been extended beyond the boundaries of the country as well. In these years the CRPF also produced the number of outstanding players and athletes who have brought both respect and praise outside and within the country. Service and integrity is the motto of the Central Reserve Police Force.
