Application fee: Rs. 50/- and apply offline before 03/08/2015, Through written test and physical test, candidates are selected.Government of India Ministry of Home Affairs Directorate General Border Security Force invites applications from male/female Indian citizens for recruitment on combatised posts of Assistant Sub Inspector(Stenographer) and Head Constable (Ministerial) in BSF. Eligible candidates may apply on or before last 3rd Aug, 2015 and 17th Aug, 2015 for far flung areas.

Selection will be made based on two Phases. 1) Written examination, 2) Physical test which covers Weight, Chest and Height.

First Phase

  • Written Examination

Second Phase

  • Physical Measurement (PST)
  • Short Hand Test (only for ASI/Steno)
  • Typing Speed Test (only for HC/Min)
  • Documentation (Checking of Documents)
  • Medical Examination.

BFS Written Examination:
The written examination will be conducted at the Selection Centres on the date and time fixed by Pers Dte(Rectt Section) HQ DG BSF which will be communicated on completion of the scrutiny. Admission in written examination will be purely on production of call letter/ admit card dispatched to the eligible candidate by the concerned centres. Written examination will consist of the following five parts:-

PART-I – Hindi/English language. 20 Marks
PART-II – General Intelligence 20 Marks
PART-III – Numerical Aptitude 20 Marks
PART-IV – Clerical Aptitude 20 Marks
PART-V – Basic Computer Knowledge 20 Marks
TOTAL 100 Marks

There will be one composite paper for one hour and forty minutes duration consisting of above five parts and will be “OMR BASED OBJECTIVE TYPE WITH MULTIPLE CHOICE”. Question paper will be printed bilingual i.e. in English and Hindi both. The minimum qualifying marks of written test are as under: –

  1. i) General Category – 35%
    ii) SC/ST Categories – 33%

Age limit: Between 18 to 25 years. Upper age limit is relaxable will be as per Govt rules.

Examination Fee:
No Fee for SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen, Departmental (BSF) and Women
Rs.50/-(fifty) for All other

How to apply: Eligible candidate may submit their application duly filled on prescribed format to the centers which are given below on or before 03rd August 2015. Last date for receipt of applications in respect of candidates belonging to Far flung areas of Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and North Eastern States is 17th August 2015.
