Education Minister Sabitha Reddy revealed during the question and answer session in the Assembly on February 10 that ten thousand teacher posts will be filled in Telangana state soon. She spoke during the debate on the taxes. Minister Sabita said that schools are not being removed anywhere in the state because there are no students. The minister said that 9,123 schools will be prepared by June under the first phase of Mana Uru-Mana Badi. He said that the government is taking steps to start new engineering colleges in Mahabubabad and Kothagudem. Those who have gone to other districts under 317 JV have opportunities for postings in old districts in current transfers, he said. Language pundits claimed that some other issues remained unresolved as they were in the courts.
Speaking on the occasion, Congress member Bhatti Vikramarka suggested that arrangements should be made to teach Telugu and English medium students separately. It was asked to resolve that the salaries of education volunteers were stagnant in the treasury. Later, the minister said that 14 polytechnic colleges have been sanctioned recently. We have given Rs.50 crores for the creation of infrastructure in Basara RGUKT. He said that JNTU Sultanpur Government Engineering Campus in Kothagudem, Mahabubabad will be converted into a Pharma University. Sabita said that colleges will also be established.
